a wedding in the woods

Ally and I went to Eugene several weekends ago (I know, I know ... sorry for not blogging very often) for my friend Marisa's wedding. It was at Fern Ridge Reservoir just a few miles West of Eugene. It was cool for me because I have quite a few fond memories of going to the reservoir with Marisa when I lived in Eugene. The wedding was short and to the point, just the way I like them and the only way I could have ever predicted that Marisa's wedding could ever be. After the ceremony there was barbecuing, a few kegs of delicious Ninkasi beer (the best IPA ever by the way ... just in case you haven't had it yet) and a Ween cover band. The wedding and reception was adjacent to the campsite where everyone was staying that night. Ally isn't much of a camper, but she toughed it out like a real trooper. The campground was noisy (mostly because of the wedding party though so I can't actually complain since we were part of it), and I didn't sleep too well. It was worth it though to be there for Marisa ... as well as the trip to Brails the next morning for breakfast.

Here are some pics. Unfortunately we didn't take very many, although Ally took a bunch of some guy that looked like Axl Rose at the gym.
